Stars shine at Fleur Du Cap Theatre Awards 2014! The inside scoop...  Elegant winner:Actress Jennifer Steyn scooped an award for Best Performance by a lead actress in a play for her role in   Milk Train Dosen't Stop Here Anymore   . The 49 th annual Fleur Du Cap Theatre Awards, held at The Baxter Theatre on Sunday, 16 March 2014 was indeed an elegant affair. Guests which included many well-known faces in the entertainment industry ,were treated to complimentary drinks upon arrival, as photographers snapped away as they graced the red carpet. A live band kept guests entertained, creating a vibrant atmosphere in the foyer. The Cape Town Philharmonic Youth  Orchestra opened the Fleur Du Cap Theatre Awards,  hosted by Comedian Allan Committie and Africa Melane. The lowdown on star-studded Swag Notes @The Baxter Theatre -Valentine's weekend 2014 The red carpet was rolled out and stage set - award-winning performer, Waseef Piekaan hosted Swag Notes  - a star-studded Valentine's themed variety show at The Baxter Theatre on Friday, 14 February and Saturday, 15 February 2014. Waseef hosted the show with his comedy antics, playing the role of  a lady named 'Fransina'. Swag Notes were displayed and audience members had to guess which performer would appear, based on the clues given in the swag notes . Some of Cape Towns top local performers wowed audiences, including SA 's Got Talent finalists,  Karin Kortje, who sang Whitney Houston's All The Man I Need   and Etta James' At Last.
