2016 Cape Town International Jazz Festival headliner, Angie Stone. The 17th Cape Town International Jazz Festival was definitely one for the books. Compared to last year, it is safe to say that I had too much fun. It's always fun bumping into people you haven't seen in a while, and of course meeting new people adds that extra bit of fun! American singer, Angie Stone falling ill just hours before her performance seemed to have taken it's toll on her. She wasn't the powerhouse singer everyone expected to see. However, she tried her best to pull through and entertained festino's with her new hits and old ones like I Wish I Didn't Miss You Anymore. Highlights on day one was definitely Abigail Kubeka and Dorothy Masuka, who brought back the 50s era with their Marabi-inspired sounds. I also enjoyed Dr. Victor And The Rasta Rebels and American R&B trio, SWV. Favourite's on day two was definitely BadBadNotGood from Canada, who performed a fusion of music ...
