How to nail the sequin trend#FashionTips

Pair a sequin top with a blazer.
Fabric prints, detail and textures need to be subtle and minimal. Avoiding mixing fabric textures and prints.
Also, pair it with straight-leg jeans and a blazer or skirt.
Keep your jewelry minimal. A bangle or two will be more than enough.
Keep your footwear simple but elegant. A matte or nude heel will do.

 By day

Pair a sequin skirt with a plain denim shirt, jacket, blouse or jersey.
A leather jacket is super-chic.
Feel free to wear it with sneakers, heels or brogues.
Keep your jewelry and bag simple. A simple clutch purse will do.
Ooh, and don't forget to rock some funky sunglasses to finish off your look.

Sequin dresses with a high neckline are super-sophisticated. The higher the neckline, the better.
To draw all the attention to your sequin item of clothing, keep the other colours of your ensemble darker.
Do experiment with dresses that are multi-coloured, but only two or three colours, too much sequin will look like you over doing it

 Pair your dress up with a clutch bag. Keep your bag small and simple. No busy prints or fabric.
Be careful when wearing sparkly jewelry; keep your necklace simple, if you going to wear earrings, go for sparkly studs or small dangling earrings.
Know which areas of your body you want to accentuate by wearing sequins in areas of your body that you feel most comfortable about such as your bust area, a sequin band around your waist to highlight it, if you feel comfortable about your waist area.
If you wearing heels, a matte or metallic black heel is super-sexy.
Go easy on your makeup, avoid glitter eye shadow and too much makeup altogether.
Keep your hair style glamorous but subtle. A top knot or sleek locks will be more than enough.
Remember, less is more!

Dress for your shape

If you are plus-sized stick to dark colours when wearing sequins, such as black.
If you are petite, horizontal sequin lines on a dress will add some weight on you.
