Musik Alla Kaap: A successful celebration of music for the fourth year in a row
Thousands of people attended Music Alla Kaap, held at the GrandWest Arena, in Cape Town on 25 April 2015.
The media was invited to an exclusive meet-and-greet session before the show.
Hosted by entertainer, Alistair Izobell the stellar line-up on the night included MC Shaleen- Surtie Richards, Karin Kortje and London Louw from SA Idols fame, Denim, Jonathan Rubain, Donveno Prins and RJ Benjamin, and last but not least, a 12-piece band, directed by Trevino Isaacs
Karin was glowing on stage and showed off some cool dance moves, accompanied by backing dancers. She performed songs such as Ed Sheeran's Thinking out loud. I never thought the day would come that I would see her dance on stage. Big up for trying K!
London performed his new single Till death do us party and other hits. He hinted backstage that he will be releasing an EP later this. He even promised funkysheerahd.blogspot.com that we will get the first copy of his EP. Yay, #Amped!
Jonathan and Donveno Prins decided to stir things up by having their own music battle on stage.
The audience went gaga, as they cheered them on.
Denim closed off the show as they performed hits such as Can't Take My Eyes Off You. They provided a moving anti-xenophobia tribute by performing their hit Rise, which had thousands of
people in attendance singing along.
Yes, even after the show I had the song stuck in my head.
Late entertainers such as the likes of Brenda Fassie, Taliep Petersen, Mariam Makeba and Zayn Adam was also honoured.
