Event 101: Khayelitsha Fashion Show Experience 2015 #KFS

Soon-to-be launched township magazine,#TAGMAG presents KFS - Khayelitsha Fashion Show 2015. The fashion extravaganza will feature some of the coolest designers in the fashion industry, such as Izembatho creations. Their designs has been showcased at African Fashion Week in London. Inga of INDALO, Zano of SKORZCH and HEAD HONCHO will also be showcasing there designs.

The event does not only serve as a fashion and talent showcase, but is aimed at giving fashionista's and business-minded people an opportunity to network.
#TAGMAG will also be launching on the night of the fashion show.
KFS will take place on Friday 2, October 2015 at Chilliers Place, Section H, Khayelitsha at 5.30pm. Refreshments will be provided. An after-party will be held thereafter.

#TAGMAG is an iconic township fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine for the youth.  It is a recommended handbook and style guide for the youth. #TAGMAG it is an indispensible accessory that inspires, comments, entertains and advises modern youth. This magazine always challenges its readers with in-depth editorial, focusing on subjects that stimulate debates and discussion. It investigates special reports and thought-leading columns combined with fashion and beauty pages that define township style.

AIMS
#TAGMAG aims to push readers to where they want to be, challenging and helping them to take the next big step to get there, changing lives from ordinary to extraordinary.
#TAGMAG always deliver in a tone that is authentic and relevant because it is generated by the youth themselves. All the content is 100% produced by the youth from the townships. #TAGMAG circulates all over the townships of South Africa. The magazine is a monthly application magazine. Funded by its advertising revenue.
How about having a magazine that will help you how to apply for bursaries, scholarships and how to get your dream job? #TAGMAG is the tool for positive.
We see tourists wanting to know more about township life, and wanting to help us. We can do that by showcasing and organizing #TAGMAG shows to support our local talent, plus marketing #TAGMAG.

 MISSION
#TAGMAG will be focusing in uplifting and enlightening the youth with articles that will give them information they need to get their dream job, the qualification to get where they want to be. The magazine will be covering stories that will expose the youth to the term – vukuzenzele (self- initiating). #TAGMAG will give hope to the youth by showing everything can be achieved if you work hard. We will show the well-developed side of the townships of Cape Town. We will show the positive side so we can motivate the youth to be positive. The magazine is planning to expand so we can cover all the townships of South Africa.

We aim to consistently promote, support, educate, encourage and enlighten our youths to energize themselves in building self-confidence, respect, being self-achievers, being good to others, reaching their dreams and overcoming obstacles.
