All about the 2016 Cape Town International Jazz Festival

2016 Cape Town International Jazz Festival headliner, Angie Stone. The 17th Cape Town International Jazz Festival was definitely one for the books. Compared to last year, it is safe to say that I had too much fun. It's always fun bumping into people you haven't seen in a while, and of course meeting new people adds that extra bit of fun! American singer, Angie Stone falling ill just hours before her performance seemed to have taken it's toll on her. She wasn't the powerhouse singer everyone expected to see. However, she tried her best to pull through and entertained festino's with her new hits and old ones like I Wish I Didn't Miss You Anymore. Highlights on day one was definitely Abigail Kubeka and Dorothy Masuka, who brought back the 50s era with their Marabi-inspired sounds. I also enjoyed Dr. Victor And The Rasta Rebels and American R&B trio, SWV. Favourite's on day two was definitely BadBadNotGood from Canada, who performed a fusion of music

Yasholento Fashion March 2016

On Saturday 9th April 2016 all roads lead to the YashoLento Fashion March at Zolani Centre in Nyanga. The fashion march will feature models, fashion designers, photographers, rappers and DJ's. The event will be hosted by Speech The Dreamer.Doors on the day open at 12:00. On the day those attending the event must use the hashtag #IAMFashionFoward and #FashionIsArt.
