Emo Adams, one of mzansi’s popular entertainers has been doing his thing in the entertainment industry for almost 26 years, mastering singing,acting,stand-up comedy and TV presenting! Since the age of 9, he has been doing what he does best, entertain!
The new year has just begun and an energetic Emo remains positive about 2013 - already fully-booked for the year ahead, he has many exciting things planned for 2013, yeah yeah!!!
"I think people will be surprised with the diverse appeal on the album, catering for both English and Afrikaans audiences,’’ says an enthusiastic Emo - whose soon-to-be solo release comes 5 years after he released his debut solo album Tall, Dark and Afrikaans, back in 2007, which was indeed a top-seller.
Emo decided to title his new album Finding Emo , as during the last 5 years he has been on a journey of finding himself , exploring what it is people like about him and using that knowledge as inspiration for his new exciting solo project. He also decided to title his new offering Finding Emo, as he has always liked the play on words such as Finding Nemo.

Later this month, Emo will also be starring in Plekkie Innie Son at the Suidooster Fees to be held at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town, as well as the movie -100 Meter Leeu Loop, an Afrikaans comedy alongside Robbie Wessels, where he plays the role of an Indian conman , which is expected to be released in March 2013.
Giving back to the community, Emo is involved in many charity projects ,whereby he met the love of his life, Michelle Gildenhuys, who he has been dating for the past 4 years !
Do you believe in new years resolutions if so what are yours? I'm not sure if I have resolutions, but I more so have goals
and I have such strong will power that I usually see them through.

Who is your role model?
There are so many people that have influenced me in my life, it would be a great injustice if I only name a few,
everyone in my life that I have ever met have contributed to my life somehow.

You are a role model to many
young people.What is your message of inspiration to young people who use
their circumstances as an excuse to not
live their lives to their full potential?
Very good question.
In most cases, I find that people use their circumstances as an excuse,
but on the other side sometimes it does count against them, but it should never be used as an excuse.
Just know that success is not suppose to be easy, it's the hard work that makes the victory rewarding.
Being an artist is even more challenging because the struggle for success is ongoing.

You are involved in various
charity projects.Why would you say it is important for the youth to get
involved in charity projects?
I really don't know why youth should do it, for me its a PERSONAL.
As I said before, I grew up poor, so I know what its like not to have, so I try and assist where I can and by helping
it keeps me humble. I never put these things in the media because I don't do it for the acknowledgement.

What is the one thing
people do not know about you?
That people think I'm funny all the time and they never get to see how hard I really work off stage
and I'm sure most people don't know I own 3 companies, but I love that people think they know me
when they really don't. I guess its all part of show business, because it's all just a show, after all.

Once you've finished school, then you immediately need to do a business course, Trust me, you might think it's stupid, but if you don't you will never get anywhere, while doing that take a music course, so that you are able to read and write music, while doing that develop your voice training, etc and also find out about music rights.Trust me, when I say today's singers are more business people, because ones voice or talent is not enough anymore.
